How to restore my host file on mac?

I was going on facebook way too much so I blocked it so I could get school work done and such. I used the sudo pico method in terminal to block the site. I'm out of school and want to unblock facebook but when I go to do so my host file is blank. I don't know how to unblock facebook now! What should I do?
